Parents in Early Childhood
The building blocks of relationships
Early childhood is a period of rapid developmental change beginning at birth and spans all the way to age eight. Parenting in this stage can feel like riding a a rollercoaster. A wonderful, joyful moment with your child can quickly dissolve into an emotional power struggle that feels completely overwhelming. In our sessions, I support you by utilizing my background in early childhood education, child development, and years as a child therapist. Examples of areas where I can help include:
Establishing family rhythms and routines that work for you and your kids
Helping your child deal with separation anxiety, phobias, or sleep problems
Handling meltdowns and tantrums and setting boundaries all while building your connection
Staying calm and keeping your cool during tough parenting moments
Learning about early development and how to foster social emotional development and language development
Learning the research behind effective discipline
Recognizing developmental delays and how to seek help
Getting aligned with your partner on your parenting approach and values
Moving from parenting from martyrdom to parenting from wellbeing
Manage your emotions when triggered by your child’s behaviors
